DMs choice, the Rivi'i are a good race to play, you must only have a pretty good energy gathering
Yeeees, that exactly their problem They are ruthless energy wasters...
All you need to win with Rivi'i is patience and a different strategy. Stop trying to win, start trying to survive and up the battlecruiser power. I have never lost doing that... well, except one really unlucky round where I never got any ship cards, but that was just a fluke.
For me this is a perfectly sound example of a card-battle game with a sci-fi theme. For me it's lacking a campaign mode to keep me interested in playing longer.
Pullad that game out again after a long time and I STILL HATE THE RIVI'I!!! Their ships are good. Fine. But they are definitely not that good to justify their horrendous energy cost. Nanobot carriers, in my opinion, just aren't worth 6 energy. Even the battleships should be one point cheaper. And they urgently need some quick-to-play low-cost ships. (Or some extra tricks to increase their energy producton.)
Reasonable card based game that seemed to work quite well but what was the point without a back story and campaign mode to take you forward. After a few rounds it became boring.2/5
I'm mystified as to why this game is rated near perfectly.
The card system itself is, at best, above average (Not spectacular) and the lack of any kind of single player missions is a total deal-breaker for me.
As fun as the card battle system might be, who will play this more than a few times before putting it down forever? Without a campaign to play, winning duels is meaningless.
First I like Th game, but I think I found a bug. I had 8 structure cards and 5 action cards but when I was playing in 5 founds I never g ta ship card just action and structure card, Not that just done not make sense. After putting out the 5 structure cards that only left 8 not ship cards but never got a ship card but keep getting the other card sets
