Using the keyboard to control the paddle is clunky, and the paddle jumps all over when you use the mouse. It's PRETTY hard to screw up a paddle ball game, but the controls here accomplish that.

The upgrades are fun, but levels become tedious because it takes too much to destroy individual blocks.

2/5 stars

good for its type but a bit old hat for me.., I used to play another type with much better possibles and a better upgrade system which could be seen as upgrades not like these that are not noticeable.

a very generous 1/5 from me :-*

Hmm, I never really liked breakout-games...
Nice idea, though, to be able to buy upgrades between level. But only one life per level gets pretty frustrating. I got stuck at level 3 and gave up (I'm not good at this.)
And if RPGs are starting to be defined by upgrade purchasing between levels, I see dreary times coming upon that genre...
2 stars out of 5.

Flashing backgrounds are really bad and made the game unplayable for me. Double entendres were mildly amusing but got kind of creepy.

I was kind of glad to see a breakout style game as I haven't played one in a while. Upgrade system is neat but I'd prefer powerups like in Arkanoid. (The genre is over 35 years old you know, lots to take from)

Also, I fail to see how having a boss level lets you call this an RPG considering there is no story and no role to play.

2/5

decent breakout/arkanoid clone but sadly quite boring.

its nice to have upgrades butr for example bat's width increase was quite minimal based on its cost (bought 2 width upgrade and bat's width was increased barely visible).

It is... definately as the prior comments have indicated. In addition to the no save function, since you only get 1 ball you have to finish each level with no mistakes or start back over (no that this should be too difficult, but it is annoying).
It feels like the person who made the game went out of the way to include gimmicks to make it harder, rather than actually try to make a really interesting game.
The RPG part of this game is interesting... but who really wants to go back and repeat levels of a breakout style game?
For all that, it works, and it does have a good upgrade system. A slightly generous 3/5.

Its ok for a retro style game but flashing backgrounds after first boss are extremely annoying, no doubt meant to be distracting. Whilst it's not a very long game it is also frustrating that there is no save option so you only have one sitting to play it right through.
I know that there is only so much you can do with a breakout style game but there are others that are much better out there. 3/5

The game has a good premise but is very rough around the edges.

The bosses and some levels are fairly good.

The background on the second stages is just horrible and makes the ball very hard to see.

The game gets very repetitive by the 5th level.
