Genre: Launch

This is a physics-based game in the same vein as Angry Birds. In each level, you are given a limited number of dogs to shoot at cat-inhabited structures. Your goal is to take out all of the cats with as few shots as possible. Each dog comes equipped with a special ability, which you can activate after the dog is launched. The trajectory of the previous dog is shown with a dotted line to help you improve your results.

Good standard par-for-the course physics-based game.

3/5

I don't really enjoy these types of games but, I like the idea of dogs being ninjas. Overall, good for its genre with a decent premise.

After I played this through the second time, it appears to me, that this installment is "puzzlier" than the first. Which means, instead of emphasing on physics and using the right momentum and well-placed shots to win a level, there are certain "tricks" in some levels, right spots you can hit or powers you can use at the right moment, to solve a level with a single shot.

There seem to be a lot of this type of game since angry birds and even that wasn't the first of this genre. This is still a good version with a couple of variations to special abilities so 4/5

I like the Ninja Dogs games very much, already played through both of them.
I think it's an Angry Birds rip-off (though I can't tell for 100% sure since I never played Angry Birds), but a really good one.
So to speak, if Ninja Dogs (and Ninja Dogs 2, of course) is only half as good as Angry Birds, Angry Birds must be awesome.
Though, still, when I research Angry Birds, I come to the conclusion, that Ninja Dogs might even be better
I find it to be very cute with likeable characters, the story seems to make more sense (though, I admit, this isn't exactly a good point :D ), and the special abilities of the characters appear much cooler to me. Even the "lowly" beagle has a special, that, although tricky to use and not very powerful, is at least more effective than a mere shriek.
Still, I would like to read a complete comparison of someone who actually played, knows and maybe even likes Angry Birds.
In any case I can really recommend this game to anyone who likes such "catapult games" and hand out 5 of 5 stars.
