This could have been a good game, but ... the implementation of the game is poor (as others have noted).

It's not a disaster, but it could be so much better.

So much possible good, so much bad.

What is wrong:
-No unit choice. Simply take what you are given.
-High RNG factor. Randomly you don't get to use the double turn. This makes battles less about strategy, and more about luck.
-Unit leveling is nearly worthless.
-Information UI is just poorly designed, although it includes most of what you need.
-No cool specials for units.
-Hex design with squares makes ranged targeting a pain in the behind.
-Hard to figure out all the exact details.
-High ground advantage against ranged attacks seems bugged, it results in more deaths rather than less (even when it says 'protection from arrows.)
-No tactical bonuses from things like flanking.
-All upgrades pooled together, if you buy any one all of them increase in price.

This game is sad. Make another Fantasy Kommander already, and show them once again how it is done right...

a very hard game to get right and a lot of hard to see areas of movement. some squares seem to be unpassable but there is no reason given why.

lots of things not clear as already stated but also unclear are the rules of combat.archers only able to fire in a line is a bit off when this is a hex style game, lots of mysteries make this lose points instead of gain them.

somewhat normal hex strategy game except no indication if units are close or long range (maybe that textbox tells it but txt is way too small w/o zooming), weird unit movement (only up/downright/left), no real tutorial so bit trial and error, decent graphs but crappy sounds.

overall weird and quite stupid, gold is probably used to improve units but ......

I really like turnbased hex strategy. And this game has some nice (but not new) ideas.

But they did it so bad...
- Terrain high is important, but not easy to see.
- Why painting square fields when using hex mechanics?
- Figures are too big.
- Rules are not clear. For example, how strong does shield protect from ranged attack?
- These random maps tend to be solved all with the same strategy.
