Bah...just the same as Genghis Khan, and even less challenging - just too easy. Music is completely out of place...and somehow wizards, and vampires don't mix with Alexander for me!
Add to that constant issues with save game...bah...

It could have been a great game...

3/5 stars for me(or rather 2.5 rounded up to 3)

I may be a purist, but Alexander in a Fantasy context? That's just wrong!

The game is functional and the gmeplay easy, but ....

Rate: 2/5

ok tried on a harder setting and it just plays the same even on the hardest setting it is ridiculously easy to beat.

This game is far from easy on Insane. It infuriates me when ppl say that, things that re obviously not easy, are SUPER-EASY. Explain to me how easy it is, and why.

Ferret, the game is just like that. The previous installment (Genghis Khan) was the exact same way. There is no ending.

You just beat all the available maps and call it a day.

This is mostly just a cosmetic issue in my eyes. The real issue I found here is the fact that unless you just spam cavalry, you can't win. Unless you only use Berserk mode, you can't win. This game could be so much more awesome than it is.

ok tried on a harder setting and it just plays the same even on the hardest setting it is ridiculously easy to beat. I think I lost about 10 men in all on hardest setting but it still expects you to continue.., either we are not seeing the whole game as the screen is so small or there are more bugs in it than my garden.

Quoting fergusferret:
it just expects you to continue doing something else. there are no more places to attack!!

will try it on a harder setting at some point but 3/5 for the game. loses points for the none ending and the fact that the tactical selections appear to do nothing to influence the battles.

It could just be my perceptions of it though

Its a good game but I've had all sorts of trouble with saving and moving on to next level, even having to reconquer places which show on screen as conquered! This spoilt my enjoyment so only 2/5

I HATE the fucking music, and that there is no button to turn that shit off.

There is a button to turn off the music but you don't get to it until you are in the fight screen. This is one of my pet peeves. There should always be an easily accessible way to turn off the music which is separate from sound effects. I generally like sound effects but no matter how good the music is I eventually get tired of it and want to turn it off.

I really love the mechanics of this game. I love that there's 5 difficulty settings to ensure re-playability. I love that your units stay with you throughout the game and level up.

I don't like that this game is basically the same as Genghis Khan with a few minor tweaks.

I HATE the fucking music, and that there is no button to turn that shit off.

This game needs some minor adjustments and it would be a 4 star+ game. As is though, it's lacking and too basic.

3/5 stars
