Rather an odd grid combat game and I'm not sure if I like the way it plays, some of the combat results just seem a bit strange.3/5

Have to agree with Figsak on this game - it is excellent except there were missions which were impossible to win and I good at this type of game - I eventually gave up and forgot about this game - it should be a 5 but is 3/5 as is

I have a problem here. I would consider myself a pro and vet at grid combat games, yet there's a level I simply cannot beat just a couple levels in.

How are you all not mentioning this insanely difficult level?

Anyways, I love the artwork and the bones of this game, it just needs to be balanced out and have a bit more depth.

a GENEROUS 3/5 stars

graphics are not that bad really but the game play is awful. how a gun wielding person cannot hit an enemy from more than the next square is beyond comprehension. they should be able to attack from further away than the archers

1/5

As far as I know, "hajime" is the Japanese word for "fight".

Hajime means begin or start.

Oh, sorry, I didn't know that. Thanks for correcting me.

  • The music and sound effects are awesome!
  • WTF - Ranged units are counterattacking my melee units. My infantry just got wrecked attacking a catapult...that's not supposed to happen, ranged can't attack or defend adjacently!
  • We need to be able to go full screen.
  • Too hard to click on city tiles for ownership if you have another unit on that tile.
  • As stated below, temples and villages are pretty useless. Takes too long to get ownership, and they offer very little defense, so units rarely ever last long on one.

Also, you need to incorporate zone of control so enemy units can't run right past each other..
