Quick guide:

First step is to turn off auto-leveling. Go into the menu for skills, turn off all, and similarly for classes.
The xp system will use all your xp on skills you do not want if you do not do this.

Hit is super important for any physical attacks. Damage and speed also will affect you. Speed is nice because you get more turns between enemy attacks, in effect. Damage and hit go up with skill and better items. You seem able to equip items you do not have the skills to use (like armor and shields that have requirements of skill.)

Magic:
The magic system is very detailed, to be honest. You get a set of spells based upon the ranks you put into any given spell category. These spells often require an elemental affinity, which costs a ton of xp OR comes free with mage/priest levels (priest gives holy, mage gives select an element other than holy or death.) The more elements required, and the higher the circle of skill for the spell, the more powerful the spell will be. They will also tend to cost more energy. This leads to clearing areas, then resting, frequently.

To have any chance of beating late game enemies you must specialize your offense, and work a little on added defense. Combining certain classes makes for your advanced types (for example, mage + priest unlocks enchanter and summoner.)

I don't find that game too bad. Sure, it's not amazing and has some issues. It's very badly explained for its complexity, the graphics aren't really good, the advancement system is ...intransparent,to say the least, and probably many others will occur while I play through the game.
Still I think it's a nice and interesting idea, the multitude of character options appeal to me, and the basic gameplay system works OK. Encouragement to the developers to make an improved sequel! :-)
3/5 stars from me so far

This "looks" like a very impressive and well put together RPG game.

However, I just didn't enjoy the gameplay. Everything from the lack of help down to the poor graphics just feels annoying after 10 minutes play.

Not for me as there are better choices available.

crappy action rpg, 1st town takes 2-3 days to pass and 2nd and 3rd towns are impossible, no clue how to use other spells than magic missile, mage sucks generally (especially in close combat), upgrading stats require xp and it gets reseted when (not if) dies (happens alot especially when facing multiple enemies) so upgrading is difficult (mildly said), no health regen (not that it'd help) besides health potions (too little vs need), no shop where to sell excess gear and buy what needs (tons of health and energy potions), bad movement, crappy dmg dealt (sadly enemies do good damage), decent graphics and sounds and nice music.

overall ok game if plays warrior or other physical attacker (as a mage game is just too difficult), fights against 2+ enemies means death sooner than later.

this may be an rpg but the pixelation is bad, takes a long time to load and some of the ways the character does things is a bit suspect as well. other than that the game is on a rail so you are not truly free to roam the game as most rpg's let you.
