I love the retro look and feel. Though it does have the same drawbacks all retro games did. The levels get long and complicated, and you can play them perfectly for 99% of the level, F up one time, and BLAM, back to the start of the level.

I'm tooooooo damn busy to replay levels megaman style over and over and over.

Good game, just a bad mechanic.

3/5 stars

Good, retro style game, sure there are a few bits that could be more polished but fun nonetheless.3/5

to add to the other comments .., It would also help a little if the top of the screen was not covered with boxes so that what is up there is not fully visible.

Another useful feature would be make so you can do a level over if you didn't get everything, e.g. one of the slug ran away.

The game isn't too bad, but the attacks from off screen with sorcerers get annoying. Also, is the health power broken? I tried upgrading, but it didn't make a difference in how many hits I could take from slugs, much less zombies/sorcerers. I'd give it about a 3/5 with a need for polish (and a map you can use, rather than just giving visibility).
